Brass Bound Teak Military Chest From Rajasthan -19th Century Cotton loop-and-ring closureThis low antique Indian campaign chest is from Rajasthan & constructed from teak wood. It dates to the 19th century. It is the perfect height to be used as a coffee table whilst storing seasonal items. It has a large internal storage space and a smaller compartment often called a candle box originally used to store candles. It has developed a wonderful patina and sits on four turned legs over time. An interior chain stops the lid from falling open.
